Login/Sample Receiving
Login personnel are trained to receive and verify the integrity of all incoming samples. A comprehensive review is completed to ensure that there are no problems that might adversely affect data quality. The following are typical items reviewed during login:
- Chain-of-Custody request is complete and matches Project.
- Sample integrity has not been violated during shipment. This includes checking for damaged containers and cooler temperature (if required).
- Monitor sample collection dates to ensure that holding times will not be violated.
- Completion of a Cooler Receipt Form which summarizes the sample receipt process.
- Immediate client notification if any problems are identified. Analysis will proceed only after client approval.
The entire login process is designed to identify potential problems before they affect client samples.
