Project Management

Project management begins with a detailed review of our client’s Statement of Work (SOW). This SOW may be as simple as an NPDES permit or as complex as a Sampling and Analytical Plan requiring CLP-Type data packages. Review of this plan prior to the sampling event is an essential step in ensuring that project requirements will be adequately achieved. This information will be used to complete Projects for each SOW.

Projects are created within the LIMS to ensure consistent execution of each event and will contain information such as:

  1. Contact(s) and address information for the final report and invoices.
  2. Analytical methods and specific target analytes.
  3. Project specific detection limits.
  4. QC level for the final report.
  5. Price information related to a specific project number or purchase order.

Projects ensure that multiple projects for the same client are executed on an individual basis.

Laboratory Project Managers (LPMs) are assigned to projects to monitor the progress of a client’s samples as they progress through the laboratory. LPMs work directly with Client Services to provide clients with a source for information and inquiries. LPMs can also alert clients to possible regulatory requirements that may affect analytical requirements.
